2019년 일본 도쿄 거리를 걷다가 우연히 목마 하나를 발견했다. 그 목마는 불이 꺼진 상점 안에 놓여 있었는데, 귀여운 모습과 달리 어두운 공간에 외롭게 자리한 것이 안타까웠다. 그 목마가 활짝 핀 봄 속에서
행복하게 지내는 모습을 상상하며 그림으로 남겼다.
While walking through the streets of Tokyo in 2019, I came across a wooden horse. It was placed inside a dark, closed shop. Despite its cute appearance, the lonely and dim setting felt heartbreaking. I wanted to imagine it thriving in the fullness of spring, so I captured that vision in this painting.
